11U D-II: Lady Ballers Finish Top 7; VA Hurricanes Finish Top 9

Day 5 -- Wednesday, July 2: Lady Ballers Finish Top 7; VA Hurricanes Finish Top 9
The MD United Lady Baller’s won their third game in the loser’s bracket at 9:00 AM with a 36-33 win over the Rockland Rockets; However, in the nightcap, they fell 48-43 to the the Surry StormSeivers. The Lady Ballers leave New Haven with a Top 7 finish.
Earlier in the day, the VA Hurricanes lost 43-37 to the same Surry StormSeivers to be eliminated from the tournament. Depspite the loss, the ’Canes take home a Top 9 finish.

Day 4 -- Tuesday, July 1: Two PV Teams Clinch Top 12 Finishes; Both Still Alive in Championship
The MD United Lady Baller’s won their second game in the loser’s bracket with a 54-39 victory over the PAL Diamonds.
The VA Hurricanes lost their first game of the tournament, falling 51-20 to the NJB Stars from California.
The 31 point game was NJB’s closest contest of the tournament to date; the NJB Stars are the defending 10U D-I champions having defeated the MD Flames in the 2007 10U D-I championship game.
Both teams are still alive in the loser’s bracket for a shot at the D-II championship. The Vogues were eliminated in the Classic Bracket today after a 40-32 loss to the CT Roughriders.
Day 3 -- Monday, June 30: Two PV Teams Alive in Championship Bracket
The VA Hurricanes won a close 45-43 game to stay in the winner’s bracket of the Championship Bracket, while the MD United Lady Ballers are still alive in the loser’s bracket after losing a 2-point game in the morning, but bouncing back to win the afternoon game to stay alive.
In the Classic Bracket, the Vogues lost by two in the morning, but stayed alive with a win in the afternoon.
Day 2 -- Sunday, June 29: Two PV Teams Advance to Championship Bracket; VA Hurricanes Win Pool
The Virginia Hurricanes went an undefeated 3-0 in Pool D to advance, along with the MD United Lady Ballers (2nd Pool H, 3-1) to the championship bracket. The Vogues finshed 3rd in pool play (1-2) and will play in the Classic Bracket.
Bracket play starts Monday morning. If the Lady Ballers win their 9:00 AM game, they’ll play the VA Hurricanes at 3:00.
Day 1 -- Saturday, June 28
The three Potomac Valley teams got off to a solid start on the first day of action in New Haven, CT, finishing 4-2. The VA Hurricanes won big twice to go 2-0, while the MD United Lady Ballers and the Vogues both went 1-1.
