Day 6 of 7:  Vogues Win Two Games Sunday to Capture Bronze
The Vogues started Sunday needing to win three games to get to the Championship game on Monday.  They eeked by the TN Trotters 30-27 at 9:00 AM and then defeated the LA Hornets 45-37 at 3:00 PM to have the chance to play themselves into the championship game.

In the 7:00 PM game vs. the Arkansas Mavericks, the Vogues fell behind 17-4 at the end of one, trailed 27-13 at the half, and were left for dead at the end of the three, down by 38-19.  However, despite playing their third game of the day, the Vogues mounted a furious rally to close the gap to 40-31 with four minutes to go.  In the end, the 19 point deficit was too much to overcome and the Vogues fell 45-38.

With their two wins on Sunday, the Vogues captured the Bronze medal, the first Potomac Valley medal of the 2008 Nationals season.  Congratulations to the Vogues.

On Monday, the TN Pride will play the AK Mavericks, out of the loser’s bracket, for the gold medal.  These two teams finished first and second in Pool B.  The Arlington Matrix finished third in Pool B, which turned out to be a very tough pool indeed.
