Overview Separate “Committees” can be established by a District’s Board of Managers to oversee and manage a specific AAU sport.
The “Potomac Valley Girls’ Basketball Committee” has been established and is responsible for managing AAU Girls’ Basketball in the Potomac Valley District. The Potomac Valley AAU Girls’ Basketball Committee has the same August 31 fiscal year-end as does the Amateur Athletics Union.
Committee Duties
Sports committees established by a District’s Board of Managers are delegated the following duties:
· Hold an annual meeting
· Establish rules of operation not in conflict with National AAU rules
· Determine if a separate operating fund is needed for the committee
· Conduct District championships
